A multi service M&E Consultancy based in Stafford specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering in the building sector is seeking an ambitious full-time Building Services Design Engineer to join its senior management team, to manage client building design projects and produce technical drawings for commercial and domestic installations.
The role offers flexibility with some remote work and a competitive salary package up to £50,000 per year including enhanced annual leave of 24 days plus bank holidays, travel allowance, training and career progression opportunities.
As the Building Services Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Producing CAD drawings for mechanical building installation projects.
- Understanding client requirements to ensure projects meet expectations and specifications.
- Representing the company at meetings with stake holders.
- Preparing reports.
- Conducting site visits to live construction sites.
- Mentoring junior staff members.
The Building Services Design Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or time served is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CAD software or similar is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven experience manging design projects for a multi-service M&E company would be a distinct advantage, as would experience working in the construction industry or a building services environment.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week from the office in Stafford between 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch.
