An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Operative to join a family run automotive engineering company in Stoke on Trent on a full-time basis.

The role offers competitive pay up to £30,000 per year based on experience. Along with 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, you will receive a workplace pension, ongoing training and career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

As the Assembly Operative your tasks will include:

• Reading from schematic drawings.
• Wiring of control panels and soldering key components.
• Assembly and testing of manufacturers test connectors.
• Wire preparation, including the identification and crimping of wires.
• Testing products with customer provided samples.
• Using various machines including band saw, circular saw, radius machine and chamfer.

The Assembly Operative will have the following skills and experience:

• Methodical and logical approach to work.
• Strong organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to prioritse workload on an adaptive basis.
• Working independently or as part of a team.
• Good IT skills and experience using Google apps and Microsoft Office packages would be advantageous.

You will be working 39 hours per week between 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 1.00pm on Friday, with half an hour for lunch.
