A busy Stoke on Trent based precision engineering company is seeking a time served CNC Machinist (Miller) to join its shop floor production team, to operate both Manual and CNC machines and to help achieve maximum efficiency within the standard operating procedure.

The role offers up to £14 per hour (up to £28,000 per annum) based on experience, 33 days including bank holidays, workplace pension, and ongoing training opportunities for the right candidate.

The CNC Machinist (Miller) will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Carrying out operational activities on Manual and CNC machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with imperial and metric measures, and working to tight tolerances.
• Working with a range of metals and thicknesses (mid and heavy steel, aluminum, sheet metal, etc).
• Programming and setting machines to produce single, small batch or a series of components and finished products.
• Ensuring quality and accuracy is maintained.
• Time served apprentice or similar experience is essential.

You will be working 39 hours per week between 8.00am – 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Friday, with half an hour for lunch.  Overtime will be available and will be paid at time and a half.
