An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety / CDM Consultant to join a Stoke on Trent based consultancy on a full-time basis, to help with the management of existing projects and support continued company growth.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £38,000 per year including a laptop and phone, company credit card, mileage allowance, workplace pension, ongoing CPD and training opportunities, and excellent career progression as the company expands.

 

As the Health and Safety / CDM Consultant, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Leading on all matters relating to health, safety, welfare and statutory compliance for the company and its’ diverse portfolio of client properties.
  • Liaising with Property Managers, Contractors, Clients and Local Authorities to ensure the smooth running of projects from concept through to build.
  • Carrying out risk assessments for property renovations and building works, ensuring site and staff safety at all times.
  • Conducting routine on site visits to client properties under refurbishment to ensure company systems and procedures are being adhered to.

 

The Health and Safety / CDM Consultant will have the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Self-starter, driven, innovative and a creative problem solver, with the ability to communicate at various levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritise work, work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Demonstrate a strong background of experience in Construction Health and Safety and have a full understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
  • You will be NEBOSH qualified and Fire Risk Assessment trained.
  • P402 Asbestos training is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Full UK driving license and use of own vehicle.

 

You will be working 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, from the Stoke office and from various client sites around the UK.  Travel to client sites and nights away will be required.
