A fast growing managed IT service provider in Stoke on Trent is seeking a full-time 2^nd Line IT Support Technician to provide remote technical support to clients, as well as monitor IT systems and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

As the 2^nd Line IT Support Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting clients remotely or over the phone, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.
• Setting up, configuring and installing a variety of hardware and software.
• Ensuring security upgrades and antivirus installations are applied and kept up to date.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.
• Logging faults, raising support tickets and escalating issues to 3^rd line support where necessary.
• Providing ad-hoc administrative and on-site support to Senior Engineers.

The 2^nd Line IT Support Technician will have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-focus.
• Good working knowledge of Networking, Windows OS, Microsoft (Outlook, Exchange, Office 365), Active Directory, Servers, Cloud based applications, Firewalls and connectivity solutions is essential.
• Microsoft certified professional or similar IT qualification is desirable.
• Previous experience working in a 1^st or 2^nd line support within a MSP environment would be a distinct advantage.
• Full UK driving licence as travel to client sites may be required.

You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from the Stoke office.
