A multi-academy trust based in Newcastle under Lyme are seeking an IT Support Technician to join its’ team on a full-time basis, to provide high quality on-site technical assistance to the staff and students at the schools in the trust.

The role offers an attractive salary of £20,043 per year as well as on-going training and career progression for the right candidate.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking to get into the world of IT and would suit an apprentice or recent graduate.

As the IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Providing on-site technical support to staff and students.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of the network and client operating systems.
• Ensuring security upgrades and antivirus installations are applied and kept up to date.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.
• Updating and maintaining curriculum applications installed on workstations.

You will have the following skills and experience:

• A practical, problem-solving nature is essential.
• A good level of IT literacy and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Windows 10/11, server builds & updates, firewalls and connectivity solutions is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle as travel will be required.

You will be working 37 hours per week at two different sites within 6 miles of each other (3 days at one site, 2 days at the other site) between 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with half an hour for lunch.
