An expanding accountancy practice in Newcastle under Lyme is seeking a Payroll Manager/Administrator to join its team on a part-time basis, to manage the payroll and provide general practice administration duties.

 

The role offers flexible hours, an attractive salary up to £32,000 per year (pro rata) based on experience, 28 day’s holiday including bank holiday rising to 33 days, and ongoing training and career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

As the Payroll Manager/Administrator you will be responsible for:

 

  • Payroll management (weekly, monthly, annual year end).
  • Processing starters, leavers and changes to pay rates.
  • Pensions management (auto enrolment, set up of new schemes, deductions).
  • Calculating mileage, expenses, bonus, holidays and statutory payments.
  • RTI submission for EPS and FPS to HMRC.
  • Reconciliation of PAYE, NI and CIS with HMRC.
  • Managing CIS submissions, deductions and refund claims.
  • General practice administration.

 

The Payroll Manager/Administrator will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Good communicator with excellent problem solving skills and a good attention to detail.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Moneysoft Payroll Manager, or others is essential.
  • Previous experience of working in an accounts or finance environment would be a distinct advantage.

 

You will be working up to 30 hours from the office.  Hours and days will be agreed during interview.
